Trisodium Phosphate Dodecahydrate is insoluble in ethanol and carbon disulphide.

The productio process of trisodium phosphate involves the neutralization of phosphoric acid using sodium carbonate, which generates disodium hydrogen phosphate. This disodium hydrogen phosphate is then reacted with sodium hydroxide to form trisodium phosphate and water.

The neutralization method entails diluting food-grade phosphoric acid with deionized water to a specific concentration. The resulting solution is then added to a stirred reactor, where a food-grade caustic soda solution is slowly introduced to facilitate the neutralization reaction. The Na/P ratio is adjusted to a range of 3.24 to 3.26. The solution is purified by treating it with a bleaching agent to remove heavy metals and arsenic.
